Finally back to the gym! :)

After not being able to go to the gym for a whole week due to my sprained foot, today was the day I could go back!

I was so looking forward to this day and with only being "allowed" to do a little, I was still very excited!

I did the bike for about 11 min which resulted in a distance of over a mile. I also did most of the weights that I usually do and I noticed I couldn't do as much weight as I had been. Poor muscles :( lol

I also got a haircut this past weekend because I have now lost a total of 20.6 pounds. Here are a couple pics! I only got a trim because I'm trying to grow my hair :)

Down 20.2 Pounds!!!!!!

I was so bummed this week because I sprained me foot. I was told by my doctor that I couldn't workout until next week :( My foot has been hurting really badly this week and I haven't been able to walk or drive. I was really hoping I wouldn't gain any weight because I wasn't going to be burning as many calories. I have reached my goal of 10 more pounds lost since last month, a week early! My goal is to lose another 10 pounds by the 24th of each new month!

I am going to get a haircut today or tomorrow since that is my reward for my first 20 pounds :)

In this whole experience I have learned that it is OKAY to take time and REST. God knows what He is doing and I know that I can get through any obstacle because I am allowing my faith to be bigger than my fear. :)

So bummed.

well...I sprained a tendon in my foot. Really badly. It started hurting Saturday morning..and I thought I just sprained it..and still went to the gym Saturday and Sunday and just did upper body weights and crunches. On Monday morning the pain woke me up at 6am and I was crying! I couldn't even walk on it, it had gotten so much worse. I'm pretty tough and can be stubborn so I was really disappointed in not being able to do things myself. I went to my podiatrist and they took x-rays and the tendon on the top middle of my foot is sprained which effects all the other tendons and such in my foot causing a LOT of pain! He gave me a cortisone shot and some prescriptions and orders to NOT exercise until next week..and even then I can only do a little, like 10 min on the bike. :(

I am really watching what I eat this week due to the fact I won't be burning as many calories. I am going to try and not let this get me down and use this time to rest and relax. I think God was giving me a sign that I need to not go so hard and take the time to just be still. This is definitely a learning experience and I'm going to be more cautious when exercising :)

SO close!!

I am down 19.6 pounds! Almost 20!! I can't wait until I reach my first major goal of 20 pounds and as a reward I'm going to get a haircut!! :)

Jogging?!?!

I am down another pound! So that's a total of 17.5 pounds gone!! I can't wait until I reach 20 and as my reward I'm going to get a haircut!

Also, BIG news...well, for me anyways.

Yesterday and today I tried jogging! Okay first of all. I HATE running...because after about 10 seconds I feel like I'm going to die..or at least that's how it used to be.

I am starting very slow. I walk for about 10 min at a speed of 2.8-3.0 then I jog for a minute at about the speed of 4.2-4.4 :) I wanted to see if I could do 30 seconds of jogging..but pushed it to a minute. Today I wasn't as tired after the minute so I know I could go longer.

My ultimate goal would be able to jog..even if it's at a slow pace for 5 min straight.

Also, I got new running shoes..I had been wearing "Nike Walk" shoes..and they aren't good enough support for the elliptical and jogging. Plus the one's I got are for wider feet! so comfy!

One month ago today, I started working out at a gym :)

As of today I have lost a total of 16.2 pounds!!! I am posting this update today, Feb 2nd because I joined a gym Jan 2nd. I want y'all to see the difference! (lots of pics)







I can see a change in my stomach! yay!! Even my bathing suit is fitting better :) I am also gaining muscles in my arms and legs! I have gone to the gym EVERY DAY. I am so proud of myself for being consistent because I know that consistency will bring results. I have had a couple set backs but I am not letting them bring me down! I am pretty sure I have exercise induced asthma and I got a blister on the bottom of my foot, so I've taken it easier at the gym the last couple of days.
Even when you don't feel like going, or it seems like it's going really slow when you're exercising..keep going!!! I know I've had a couple days like this..but I need to push through!!
